This guy had cutouts installed that activate at 3psi+ pressure and dump out right after the downpipes.

Hahaha, no most definitely not. There is at least a couple guys on that message board with very quick Flex's, haha. The stock flex with a 3.5 EB is no slouch either.

Great idea. I want to know how long that cutout lasts though. Every cutout I've ever owned would stop working or seize up after a year or two.

But a seriously great idea! I would definitely run one myself.

Interesting, I am very interested in getting a pair of cutouts myself. Is it just the constant heat/cold that makes them not work after a while? What about the manual ones, do they last longer?

Manual ones I'm not sure of. Mine always either seized from hot/cold or some of them actually failed from just the soot. Basically the soot from the exhaust was preventing it from closing all the way, so it sounded like it was slightly leaking. Now this is only my experience, so idk about others.

However I do no the electric ones are always prone to having the motors go out as well. So maybe these will be better. Although that pressure valve on those could possibly go bad as well I suppose.
