My roommate sent me this picture of the rental he and his girlfriend are using in LA. I honestly didn't even remember they built this thing. Probably because I barely ever rent cars. It's a grey, automatic crossover. I think it has to be the most forgettable car ever made.
It's an interesting question, because you can't just pick boring cars. Nobody can forget about the Camry or the Malibu because there are so many. What's the car that came and went without you ever noticing?

I can't remember.

I think these were only sold as fleet vehicles in the US.

I read this week that Toyota won't be bringing the Matrix back for the 2014 model year. I was surprised. I had no idea Toyota still built the Matrix.

I nominate the Saturn Outlook. I've never seen it mentioned anywhere.

Captiva is the Saturn CUV built on the Equinox platform (since saturn passed away). To prevent dilution of the 'nox, they resurrected the design as a Chevy for rental-only sales. Same with the new Caprice.
your question is impossible though, because while jalops may never be able to forget the bland camry, if you lined up all the mid-size cars ina line up, most consumers wouldn't be able to pick out which is which.

Right you are. With the demise of Saturn, GM slapped a Chevy badge on the Vue, called it "Captiva," and made it rental-only.

The 10th gen, H body Oldsmobile Delta 88.
My parents had one. It was comfy on a highway. That was all.

I remember that one for being a piece of crap.

I always forget about these.
That could be intentional.

I could never forget. I see about 100 a day. They were way to popular in this area. I even drive it's bastard brother the Bonneville.

I think the Captiva was actually made from leftover Saturn parts once Saturn got the axe. Which is why you don't see many.

I'd have to say the Saturn Aura. I completely forgot about it til I saw one the other day and asked myself what on earth it was. Then got up close and realized that used to be a thing.

Really? Where do you live? I never see them. Maybe 2 a year.

NW Ohio. Toledo. The ratio of American/Foreign cars is severely out of whack here compared to the rest of the country. I hear everyone talking about cheap beater BMW's for winter cars. Not here.

This gen Malibu. You never think about it for any reason because it's so unremarkable. They didn't sell any of them, so you won't be reminded of them by seeing one. And even if you do see one, it's so mundane you won't even really notice it.

Unless it's one of those bizarre MAXX versions. Those are like some sort of boring unicorns.

I actually seem to see way more Maxxs (Maxxes? Maxxi?) than non-Maxxs. Probably just because the normal one blends in so well.

I had an answer all lined up but I just don't remember. Lancer wagon that's right. Every time I'm behind one of these I say "wtf is that".

Same here. There's one in my neighborhood, and it's the only one I've ever seen.
