Never knew that teams pay more when they win more. What kind of BS is that?
According to new rules set out by the FIA , the winning team from the previous season has to pay more money to race in the new season. Because Red Bull took the constructors’ championship in 2012, it was required to pay the standard $500,000 entry price to race this year, plus $6,000 for each point it gained in the 2012 World Constructors’ Championship. The rest of the field only had to pay $5,000 for each point it scored in 2012.

"a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful"
It's secret, for sure, but it doesn't seem to be against the rules (yet) or harmful to anything but the other teams' pride and pocketbooks.

Do you know who found that second video, used for reference by every man and his dog?

The "they have been making that sound all year" doesn't hold water. Oh so you are just saying they have been doing this all year. That makes it okay. I get why everyone is upset tho. It is partly fueled by Vettel haters. I am just a first year follower of F1. I don't want the same guy to win every race. That shit is boring. I want them to battle it out to the finish every time. No matter what position they are in. Everyone swap to supersofts with 4 laps left in the back so they can make a run for the front. Get some balls.
I know its not a spec series but the rules are there to make some kind of balance of performance. And if he is just a really insane driver then all power to him. But if he puts 32 seconds on the rest of the field then yea expect some looking into your car. Big deal. Don't be upset when the people who make the rules ask you to take apart your car to have a look. Its not like the races are a week apart. They are months apart at times. We take your car for a day and a couple engineers. You get an extra laps in practice if everything checks out. If not you didn't pass the tech inspection you aren't racing the next race until you fix it.
Like I said I am first year into F1 but watching other racing series it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb when you are blowing everyone away behind you. And could they start him farther back in the field if he is just too fast. For the fans. Like for a while corvettes were dominating the field in ALMS so they gave them a restrictor plate. They were just too fast. And now there is a great balance of performance in the GT class. The racing is incredible.
I know there is much more involved those are just my thoughts thus far.

I do like the weight penalties that many series run to increase car parity. That would make things interesting in F1.

Agreed especially since they are nuts about weight in F1. Like Viper in ALMS recently had to add some weight to their car. They were able to put it anywhere they wanted.
