Electric or acoustic? I have a set of some 0.1-something lights Phosphor Bronze on my "quirky" acoustic, and the .1-something snapped on me while tuning. I can't tell whether it's the string or the guitar.

I mostly play electric and use Ernie Balls, but haven't had any bad luck with D'Addarios on acoustics before. Seconding the suspicion of others that they'll make you whole no problem.
