I went to a local meet, and the elusive r32 owner shows up. Being the first to flock to the car like a bunch of VW owners on set of CCW's, i had to think of one question that the owner surely never has answered... "Have you gone through the fast food drive thru backwards?"
His reply. (he laughs) "Once. At the taco bell drivethru".
I lol'd. I give him a thumbs up and complement him on his car. And just looked at its awesomeness. Its the same color as pictured, but with different wheels, and it is indeed an actual GTR. And he has the exact set of rubber i use on my prelude. So my prelude pretty much has the same performance. pretty much haha.
(edit: im in the usa for you non usa readers, skylines are rather rare)
I stayed by as another kid kept asking him all the questions that probably annoy the crap out of him. And according to him, Its all legal (heh...), registered as a skyline, nothing had to be changed. (whether or not he is fully truthful i dont care. I saw the car. I looked at it for like 20 mins. And i regret nothing).
I asked him how much mileage he had on it. and it is decently low at 100K Kms. The car was clean. Usually a bodypanel somewhere has some noticeable damage. but nope. He got lucky.

Where you from? I see em all the time here in Winnipeg and I'm told they're super common elsewhere in Canada.

Go ole Canada, how about you buy one and move down here, then it will be legal... Sell it for profit and move back. Hehe

So I have to ask this, did you ask this, because it was RH, or because your local drive through places, got sick of it being a hangout and started doing, one order per car. Our's did so everyone would just go through twice once for the driver once for the passenger. They stopped that real quick. We where asses...

It was RHD. And the the meet place didnt even have a drivethru. I always wanted to ask a RDH owner that question regardless of the car. Plus the skyline guy seemed like he needed a laugh.
Hell, when i get a rhd car (not if haha, when) its gonna be one of the first things ill do.

Though your story gave me an idea for when i go to the next prelude meet. That we get all the preludes to go through the drive through. once for food, and twice for a cup of water.

For all your guaranteed freedoms, that import ban seems like an out of place, over-regulatory measure. I'm surprised it hasn't been overruled. It's the only thing that Canada got somewhat right, that and health care. Maybe I should check my privilege, sell my mustang, and buy an r32 or 33?
