Just an old ad I thought was cool. This is actually not from the 60's, neither from the 70's, but from 1981, and the Opala was still in production pretty much in the same form it debuted in 1969.
It was a horrible car for the time's technical standards, but when I was a kid, Opalas were still the shit.

These were actually about the size of a 68 Nova, so not that big...
But yeah, you could fit a couple. Back in the 80's and 90's black Opalas became infamous for their association with criminals, as they were cheap, widely available, sturdy as fuck and easier to repair and modify. You couldn't do much with the 1.6l four that came in the Monza (the Chevy that replaced it, even though it remained in production), but the Opala's 250 cid six is still one of the most modified engines down here.
They're also far more intimidating to boot.
