The top 10 best-sellers list contains precisely zero surprises, but Mitsubishi being on the rise is interesting. I guess they must be selling Mirages to people who just want a car and live near one of their dealers. Happy to see Fiat/Abarth and Lotus on there as well.

Also, Proton only sold 18 cars. HA! To be fair if it wasn't for a privateer BTCC car I'd have completely forgotten they existed.

What does the UK have against Mitsubishi? I can't figure it out...

Sweet. It's always nice to see recovery in any European economy.

Shame about Alfa, although it's not really surprising seeing as the Giulietta isn't as new as it once was and that's pretty much the only car they're selling at the moment.

It is a shame. I drove a Guiletta last week. Really didn't like it

Nothing, by the looks of it. The Colt is an utter shite tinbox of a hatchback but the Outback is pretty good. I was at its launch

I haven't driven one myself. I understand they're nothing truly special. The aluminium architecture is clever, and so are the Multiair engines, but beyond that they're not extraordinary.

I'm going to wait on some cars that aren't tickover specials from Alfa. That sounds like a plan.

Actually, what were your main issues with the Giulietta, or are they hard to pin down? Which one did you drive?

Oh, I've a long list. I actually made myself a voice memo so I didn't forget anything. I drove 10 cars in one day last week and am only halfway through writing the reviews. Guiletta is next! it was a 1.4T 170hp petrol, that sounded bizarrely like a diesel it was so rough
