For starters, know that you have a 540i there, and not an M5. Seems unusual that the dealer wouldn't include the model designation in the ad.

There were only 32 M540i's made. In Canada. This is not one of them.

Like others have said...not an M5 it is a 540i with an ///M badge the wheels and front valence give it away. It still could be a nice car, but I get real suspicious of anyone trying to sell one car as something else.

That M badge needs to be removed. Otherwise, there will be a group of E39 M5 owners show up and rip it off. We are rather protective... ;-)
A 540 Sport is a nice ride, but it ain't no M5. By raw numbers it is 150 HP down, but there is much more to it than that.
