I rarely post more than once a week but I need to rant about low calorie packaged meals

what the fuck is this shit about this salisbury steak dinner only being 450 calories i need some damn nourishment not have something to snack on, this is dinner dammit not a light snack

and whose fucking idea was it to make 100 calorie cans of soup, i eat for nourishment, i dont want to drink a can of flavored water with some tiny carrot chunks in it

Well then you should buy Hungry Man. They at least have somewhat appropriately sized meals.

See I thought about it, but I didn't know if it was quality or not. So, I unwittingly went with this low calorie shit. I will not be making the same mistake in the future.

Most the people (I know) who eat for nourishment are buying the actual ingredients by the pound and ignore most packaged food.

It just so happens that "food I can eat quickly" and "snack" overlap enough that with little added cost in packaging and some savings in food, a company can markup low-calorie meals like crazy.

It's...

...better? than the low calorie shit? I mean it actually has flavor, but prepare for your heart to race because it is pretty salty.

You need to learn to culinary bro. :) Seriously crock-pot cooking is cheap, easy, and gives nice filling grub.

dude, mix a can of beans, and a can of diced tomatoes or a can of rotel spicy tomatos with just about anything. Fast hearty meal. You maaaay have some gas though.

Oh yeah man I do the crock pot thing a lot, and cook a lot of my own stuff, but I was tired after work, feeling lazy, and wanting to get a few hours of GTA in tonight.

I do that stuff all the time, like tacos, pasta dishes, easy stuff like that, but I had a weird craving for one and was tired after work. I'll have to remember the beans and tomatoes though.

(I swear I'm not a disgusting bachelor [maybe I am though])

Eating low calorie "food" is an equivalent of consuming Perri-Air. If you eat real food and exercise on a daily basis, you'll be healthier than those healthy nutters.

everyone has times where they are way to tired and hungry to cook. With the beans though, just make sure they arent the sweet baked beans. those don't mix very well.

I know what you mean, I'm underweight. I buy meals to feed myself, not diet.

I am too, I weigh 135 and I exercise and skate on a pretty regular basis, I don't need any of this malnourishing trash if I decide I want a salisbury steak for some weird reason. It's tough on the streets man.

I actually do that normally. I enjoy cooking and cook a lot of my meals. Today, I was just tired after a long day of work and wanted to grab something quick on the way home so I could get some good GTA time in.
