Yep, its what the customer ordered from Singer. Got the picture from the Autoblog drive of it. It's a great read, and there are so many good pictures where this one came from.
I just love Singer cars so damn much. They are great examples of cars as art. Craftsmanship at its finest.

YES! I will need a gallon of Red Bull and a diaper, because if you put me in that seat, I would never leave.

It looks fantastic as-is.
But I would not argue if the front 'bumper' was painted orange to match the door stripe, (but the intake area below the bumper still blue), and a simple dorsal stripe, orange in the center, with a dark-blue stripes flanking on either side.
Think Gulf Colors, but a Martini-style stripe. Orange center, and the light blue being the Singer's body color, and the dark blue. (some 3-color gulf livery cars do have dark blue incorporated, not just light blue and orange)
I am still waiting on a Petrol Blue singer with aluminum silver details.
Or a Singer back-dated Speedster. They are already back-dating 964s to look like first-gen 911s, skipping over 930 almost entirely. They could do so with a speedster windshield, and a hard shell tonneau cover, and a minimalist top, either Speedster like, or even Boxster-Spyder like.
something like this... but this isn't a Singer.

I prefer this clean look, but I think your idea sounds fantastic. I think the speedster would be awesome as well. I love the look of a speedster in general.
This car is 994 based, but a lot of others have been early 911 chassis (1963-1989).
Here is the first prototype

I have been following Singer since the orange demo/concept car came out, and I am pretty sure every one of the 4 or 5 they have built so far, have been back-dated 964s, with retro-fitted 993 center-pivot wipers, and probably a 993-based 3.6-3.8 engine, some with 996 intake manifolds, some with open velocity stacks.
993's body shell is modified, and can't be back-dated, body-wise. The rear fenders, decklid, and such are not compatible with the earlier bumpers, lights, and other pieces. The last compatibility is the 964, although 930 can be back-dated, as well, although there is some inner-body fabrication required in both cases for the fenders and long hood. 964 is chosen by Singer, due to suspension advancements over the older torsion bar rear suspension on the 911 and 930.
Edit: found out more information, will make a separate post about what Singers have been done.

With the discussion of the most recently pictured Singer Porsches, I did a bit more digging into Singer's website. (again.)
They all start like this. A road-legal 1990-94 Porsche 964 stripped down to metal. It does keep it's Porsche-original VIN. It gets a few welded-in reinforcements, as well, before being re-dressed in carbon fiber bodywork that replicates original 911 specification.
http://singervehicledesign.com/specifications…
Singer offers all sorts of variation on roll cages, harness bars, strut brace bars, chassis seam welding, external filler caps through the bodywork, etc...
The prototype, concept, and first demonstrator model: (presumably "Los Angeles", where Singer is headquartered, and likely Rob Dickinson's personal car, based on a 63-89 shell, later cars use the 90-94 updated donor.)
Texas:
Nebraska:
The wheels and interior on this car are actually dark green, had thought until recently, that they were black.
Mexico: (my personal favorite, so far.)
New York: (what are the odds that this might be Jerry Seinfeld's?)
France:
Indonesia:
Autoblog's current test of the blue/orange 'Gulf livery car, not yet on Singer's website.
I look forward to many more gorgeous Singer 911s.
