So, I was talking about design with a co-worker

And she said that "nature does the best job, so round, so balanced, so fitting."

Kinja'd!!!

I was like, "bs, edges and angles are the best, sharp is good."(see that awesome building)

Than she said that "if you inspire your design from nature, you will get it anatomically right, natural stuff is so right for our bodies, think about bananas, perfect for holding them in your...hand"

"And to shove them in various places" I answered.

Than the boss brutally interrupted us, telling us to get back to work.

I should definitely pick this discussion up, later.

I'm going to ignore those innuendos, for now, and agree with her.

My 1 example: Sagrada Familia

You like cougars.

I like sharpness.

We all got our things.

Nature does rock, and I like that building.

Good design should have plane of symmetry, this one does not, it may have points and sharpness, but this is too random. When was the last time any one marveled at the random motion of amoebae, or the random signals of spatial noise..

Oh hai! Nature does smooth and curved as brilliantly as sharp and jagged. Example numero uno - scary ass mother aka great white shark

Classic design is about symmetry, contemporary, not to mention futuristic design, is about boldness and making something look fresh and crisp.

Nature? Bananas have been domsticated for 3000 years. Newsflash - They did not start out "hand sized."

Random motion of amoebas? You don't know too many microbiologists, do you?

Oh boy! think Im going to get a biology lesson, nope dont know any.. so tell me is the motion of the amoeba similar to Brownian motion or is there something more to it..
