This week is shaping up to be pretty damn good! Just got done working out and shattered my 10k PR by 1:22! Whoop!
Then on Thursday the wife and I are taking a fall break vacation to Newport Beach, California for a few days and I have the wife on board for going to Cars and Coffee in Irvine on Saturday (Saturday right??). It'd be my first C&C ever, so I really hope it is going on since I think it's pretty close to where we are located. Does anyone know if that is going on and when and where and what do I need and please give me all the details?! I'm from KS so I rarely get to see cool cars!

Reading this post was the healthiest thing I've done all day. Damn.

Man beat my 10k time from this past weekend by over 20 minutes and my best ever by almost exactly 20 minutes on the dot.
I do the 10k in my town that happens this weekend every year. first year was 1:14, second year 1:09, third year 1:19. We had a baby and have trained drastically less this year. Course kicked my ass this weekend.

I used to be pretty overweight and once I lost the weight I found out that I enjoy running, who woulda thought... :D

Why did it take you so long to drive ten kilometers?

For a second I thought that you were asking which of us had the fastest driven 10k section on our daily commute.

Congrats on the baby! My sister just had one and it seems pretty amazing how much it immediately even just changed my life and I'm just the damn uncle!
Well done on the running, my times are usually all over the place. Just last week I ran 2 miles at a slower pace than today and felt like dying. I don't get how that all works for me, but I take what I can get! Plus it was perfect weather, 62 and sunny with 4-5 mph wind.

Shitty rubber and a bad intake!

I don't hate that idea, though in the confines of the law (natch) meaning I'd need to nail my corners and braking.

Also, we all know some schmuck oppo-ite in a Caterham is going to win.
...which is awesome, since he's in a Caterham on his daily commute.

Oh that sounds nice out! Somehow in the first weekend of October in Michigan it was massive humidity and high 70s at the start of the race at about 10 AM. It was so humid it was hard to breathe!
And yea it changes everything, I wish we were able to work out more, but I wouldn't trade anything for the little guy! We DID complete Tough Mudder this summer though! I highly recommend it, it is my top athletic/physical achievement!

My best is 1 hour 20 minutes. Need to train harder for next year. I usually run one a year. So hopefully I can step it up this year. I enjoy being lean more than food. Its a weird feeling. Kate Moss was right.

Yeah, I generally just run to stay healthy and rarely do races (1-2 5k per year) but they can be fun!
It IS a weird feeling. People look at me like I'm nuts when they hear I eat healthy, like its the devil or something..

I eat whatever the hell I want. Just in small portions. Which are probably just the appropriate size haha. Then exercise. Problem solved. Still working on dropping some LBs though. Training for a race comes in handy in that department.

I enjoy running too but long distances get hard on my knees (not sure if it's bad form or a result of my tallness); I don't think I see myself every doing a marathon. I do run 5K every other day (give or take) and my usual pace is usually somewhere between 25 and 30 min for that.
I do it to stay in shape and I think I'm going to get more into triathlon racing. I did my first one this year and enjoyed it a lot. Time to get a roadbike.

Ooh I love cycling too. I mainly do all this to stay in shape as well, I did a half marathon 2 years ago now and, while a cool accomplishment, I still ended up injured from the sheer amount of miles run while training. I usually only do 2-4 miles every other day, but I feel more satisfied when I go long distance even though I rarely like doing it.
