Would the Bell 430 that I flew on a couple years ago be better?

That's pretty cool. I like the 222 actually, just think the Airwolf vs. Blue Thunder 80s TV rivalry is fun.
*edit, if the Blue Thunder picture isn't showing up there, this makes a LOT less sense.

Stringfellow Hawke approves of this thread... but isn't about to let on that he does.
I think Bellisario likes this character as lead... damaged, silent, stoic, and almost super-human levels of effectiveness... and better hearing than a snooper mic.
The parallels between Stringfellow Hawke and Leroy Jethro Gibbs are many.
Airwolf and NCIS are both Bellisario's shows.

did you know that the actual Bell 222 they used to film "Airwolf" was sold and converted to an air ambulance... then it crashed into a mountain?
Robot Chicken told me:
also, Wikipedia:
"After the show was canceled the modifications were removed (now owned by a private collector) from the actual helicopter. It was repainted and eventually sold to the German helicopter charter company, Hubschrauber-Sonder-Dienst (aka HSD Luftrettung and Blue Helicopter Alliance), and given the registration number D-HHSD. [3] While operating as an air ambulance the helicopter crashed in fog on June 6, 1992, killing all three of its occupants"
