I feel like it would look better if the top of the bed and the top of the grill were at the same height as the belt line of the cab.

a big problem with trucks like this is they don't have the front wheels ahead of the motor and radiator . compare the nose to this...

Yep, nailed it. This is what I don't like about it. In addition to the grill and bed being lower than I'd like.

it happens when people use a IFS chassis to make a rod. I have plans to make one out of an S-10, but I will set the motor back to try to get it right .

That's what they did with my truck. Used the tranny crossmember to mount the engine and fabbed another tranny mount for the tranny.
Didn't realize until just now what a difference that makes.
