Me too that's why I would ask about the trans. The only thing I know about Subarus is the trans could go anytime, I think.

I personally would step far far away from a car with such a fart can and other questionable mods. Questionable not only in terms of taste but also in terms if workmanship. I'd say that there's a better car out there somewhere.
But that's just me, and I drive a '99 Euro-Accord simply because it was a one owner, pensioner special with perfect service history.
