I was just wondering what you like to keep in your cars in case of emergencies. This can be breakdown, safety, or any thing else related.
I will start:
ZIP TIES
GLOVES
TOOLS ( socket wrench with certain important size sockets. Screwdriver, pliers)
BOX CUTTER
NYLON ROPE (mostly, to keep hatch closed when carrying large objects)
DUCT TAPE
RAGS
TIRE PLUG KIT
I Still want a good tire inflator that won't also break the bank, but isn't shit.
EDIT: People went more into detail than I did So i will continue.
FLASHLIGHT not to be confused with fleshlight
BULBS FOR REAR AND FRONT
ELECTRICAL TAPE
ANTIFREEZE
PENS
WATERPROOF MATCHES AND LIGHTER
BREATH MINTS (FOR THE LADIES..EE WIFE)
JUMPER CABLES
FULL SPARE
UNFORTUNATELY...WIDOW MAKER JACK
JB WELD

Real engineer only keeps a duct tape and WD-40.
Yes. That's all I got in my merc.
And oh, a jack, spacesaver, something to replace my tire, and emergency life kit. That's it.

As much as harbor freight get a bit of a bad wrap: http://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt-100-ps…
Been using that all year for auto-x and it works great, and its pretty damn fast for how cheap it is. Can usually find a 20-25% off coupon as well. Or can can just use a bike pump, usually 5-6 pumps a psi so its not too bad.

Flaslights, gloves, miscellaneous wiring tools, zip ties, duct tape, antifreeze, oil, matches, an emergency jumpstarter (which I use about three times a week) with inflator, a knife, a jacket, protein bars, full-size spare wheel/tire, paracord, shop towels, window cleaner, small first aid kit. Looking for a defensive stick.

Reminds me of my ex's birthday party! I kept, among other things, zip-ties, duct tape, miscellaneous tools, a lighter, sticky notes (in case I bump a parked car or want to leave a note for other reasons), rubber bands, stuff that would only be useful in oddly specific circumstances. So, when all of their lighters were dead when we were trying to light the candles, "I have one in my car!" When a button randomly fell off of someone's jacket, "I have a sewing kit in my car!" Someone got a cut, "I have bandages in my car!"
It was awesome. Literally every time someone needed something that night, I had it in my car.
And the highlight of the night was when somebody said, "Give me a break!"
... Yeah. xD

I have a tire repair kit, a knife, a flashlight, and my car comes with an air compressor and fix a flat. I don't have a spare...

I have one of those multi tools in each of my cars, the one with a Jump starter, tire inflator, radio, light, etc. I usually just push start my car if I need to jump it but so many people I encounter need a jump and this is just quicker and easier. And the Stanley one I have has a fix a flat canister container built into it too so that's nice

Jumper cables
OBDII scanner
Quart of synthetic
Garbage bags
Pen and paper
Jack, lug wrench
73 piece socket set

The only car I could claim as my own really belongs to my team, but either way....
I'm a part of a solar car racing team that races in the Solar Car Challenge every year. The baking soda readily available is in case of a battery malfunction as we use lead acid batteries.

I carry a small Craftsman tool kit, multi-tool, fuses, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, duct tape, flash light, 2 quarts of oil, 1 quart of transmission fluid, 1 gallon of antifreeze, bungee cords, ratchet type tie down straps, plastic tarp, rubber mallet, full size spare tire, four way lug wrench, small roll around hydraulic jack, wheel chocks, owner's manual, paper map for my home state, Tic Tacs, sun shade for my windshield, and a medium weight jacket. When leaving the state I double up on all of the fluids, and bring along an atlas as a backup for my GPS.

For the fast cars, AAA card and nothing else. Other stuff tends to slide/fly around during hooning.
For the trucks/suvs: jumper cables, big ol jack, basic toolbox, some water, 2 lengths of carpet (to put under the tires), duct tape, wd-40, hose clamps, starter fluid, oil, tow cable, fuses, flashlight, 12v pump. If I'm doing serious off-roading I'll also take one of those battery charging station doohickeys and some basic survival stuff like butane lighter, a foil blanket, a machete or axe, paracord, a gps, and some food.

Did you compile that bag yourself or buy it like that?

Mid-size extended cab pickup. I carried all of this but the full size spare, bungee cords, wheel chocks, tarp, and tie downs when I was driving a small car. I just carried the factory space saver spare tire in it.

Sort of. On the left side of the back pocket of the passenger seat. It's within arms reach, but not the ideal place in case of an emergency.

That's not my bag, mine is has more stuff. And it was issued to me by the Army, keep it in the car just in case.

If you use fix a flat on one of your tires, you MUST tell the dude at the tire shop you did, since some of these products used an explosive propellant like propane. Also now that you used it, the tire can't be hot patched and vulcanized hot patching is great.

Black Plastic and Duct Tape works best, as long as no one finds the body.

A fire extinguisher works well on angry bikers, they also extinguish fires, like your neighbors Subaru.

Oh I know about telling the guy changing the tires. I haven't used a can of it for years. But when I did and then sold the car a year later, I made sure to tell the buyer about that too and which wheel it was.
