Apparently it's hard to tell if you're a cop, too. I got pulled over once for "speeding" and dude asked me what kind of Porsche it was.

Didn't ticket me (thankfully, since I wasn't speeding).

Yeah, it's the only one I've ever seen. Mine's a bit of a unicorn. I had to replace the top (they tend to tear around the glass window that a puny Toyota has when Porsche and Mercedes use plastic), so I had the top made with burgundy canvas. It also has full underbody bracing and vent mesh made from some server prototype hex mesh. And a short antenna so it doesn't look like an rc car.

Me too. I hated it when I saw it at the Detroit show in 2000. They had a red one and a yellow one. I wrote it off as an anime boxster. Didn't
think about it again for years, until I was looking for a car and saw this one for sale close by, with less than 30k. It still had the black vinyl top. I thought, hm.... No other car satisfies all three of these requirements: affordable, reliable, mid-engined.

Bought it the next day.

I could go on for too long about how good it is.
