YYYYEEEESSSSS!
I love this stuff. Sweet, heady, wonderful. Its a great beer.
Its also strong as hell.
There are pink elephants on the label for a reason. Prepare for floors in your immediate future.

It's made by Trappist monks. Imagine beer that can go toe to toe with any fine wine out there.

Not big on wine. Is it an abbey style ale?

It's not a Trappist beer, but the brewery has been around for a long time and their beers are exceptional. DT is a blonde, which some Abbeys do make but they are usually more famous for their dark strong/quads. What you will get is a light, effervescent, fruity, high alcohol beer. Easy to overindulge, a classic trait of fine Belgian beers.

Pretty much, but abbey beer is of the non-Trappist variety.
