Honestly never knew there was such a thing as a M Edition Miata. $5,800 for it and it only has 64,000 miles. Nice Price? Crack Pipe?

Actually? Probably nice price if the paint and interior have held up.

Yea? What was the difference between the base model and the M Edition Miata's?

I believe it was all trim stuff (not mechanical), and I know that the paint, color of hardtop, and a leather interior were specific to this limited run model. I think that they have wooden shift knobs, too. There's a full list here: http://www.miata.net/faq/miatase.ht… A certain Christopher Harris swapped his 599 for a M-Edition (albeit so he could figure out if he really didn't like the Miata, or if he was wrong) in a CHOC episode. I think they're awesome little machines. This is a pretty good price for any NA Miata in this condition. In Seattle, 75% condition base-trim examples go regulary for $4,500, and I'm not sure about your market, but this thing looks awesome. I'd go drive it.

Honestly, if the wife would let me, I would go get it. But alas she is the intelligent one who let me know that a weightless RWD hatch is 1. not good in the snow/ice for the 6 months of winter in Alaska, and 2. definitely not going to baby. Much less double baby in the near future.

The M had fancy stitching on the seats along with a different colored interior. They only came in this montego blue and had those polished wheels. You also get a nardi wood shifter and e-brake handle. The only unfortunate thing is that steering wheel. I really don't like the NA steering wheel. Its a nice price for a car. I'm sure in Alaska the Miata market is completely different, but as long as there is no rust that looks like a nice NA to get if there is rust, run away from it. At 64,000 your at the factory recommended timing belt change which can be put off for a while, you got to love non interference motors. You may be able to use that as a bargaining tool.
