I think the Charger 500 is the best looking of the '69 Chargers. It's too bad it was a failure on NASCAR super speedways.

Me too. Dukes of Hazard made the regular car almost too well recognized as the "Dukes of Hazard car". Although I'm fond of the menacing nose on a regular Charger, the personality of the 500 with those giant eyes right at the front say , "hunger".

Exactly, and as much as I love the Charger Daytona, it's just too exaggerated. The Daytona looked like a spaceship back then and still does. The Charger 500 stylistically is a nice compromise between the regular Charger and the Charger Daytona.

I think the '69 has the best snoot of the three years '68-'70. The split grille looks the best IMO and the chrome bumper on the '70 looks a bit clunky. Still, I'd rock any one I could get my mitts on.

Love the color on this one.
