Shutdown Log, hour 84:

No trash service, so garbage in offices and common areas is stacking up. We were instructed to find a dumpster.

Limited bathroom cleaning service, toilet paper is starting to dissapear and not get restocked.

The good news is paychecks for September will be sent out! Beyond that, we'll see.

Watching the news about the woman in DC that tried to ram the WH. The commentator said that DC cops are furloughed and are working without pay. I would consider that an essential service.

Traffic is still shitty getting in and out around DC. GOVT shut down couldnt even get that right. We are doomed.

I think people have slightly more room to move a round. Even if its a small margin and its driving them insane. So they are crashing into each other in excitement. I spend a lot of time on 66 so I have time to think about fluid driving dynamics. Like if it's HOT there will be more traffic since everyone has their AC on it slows them down marginally but it is enough to have an effect on traffic. Fascinatingly terrible.
