Genesee Cream Ale, I think local to the North East US.

My folks used to drink this back in the 70's before microbrews became a big thing.

Oh, Genesee Craem Ale, have I gotten tanked on the stuff. I prefer Little Kings though.

I just had to google Little Kings, I've never heard of it before. I don't think they sell it in CT.

They used to be a Cincinnati beer, but I think it's a Pennsylvania owned product now. They are deceivably alcoholic beer shots basically. Got the nick name of "Little Killers".

Highly tasty and before you know it, you've had twelve and are suddenly talking to that pretty ginger that you'd never had the courage to talk to. You get denied and are then with your friends on a roof talking about how your still gonna get that "ginger bitch."

Absolutely incredible.

(I'm not gonna use the full .gif, because beer and .gifs are not a good mix)

I am staying up for a few more hours, no need to get crazy. I'll have some bourbon later when I want to go to sleep. This is surprisingly good, though. I generally don't like things that have "Vanilla" on the label.

Nothing like a Genesee, straight from the crystal brown waters.

$14 for a 30-rack is A-OK with me.

I'm not saying I didn't drink it all through college (and still when I am in an area selling it)

Bourbon, the sign of a true sir.

As for me, I generally don't like things that have "Stout" on the label. Guinness I do like.

Do you work in the beer distribution and/or retail biz?

Or do you rip off 20-year-olds desperate for a drink? (nothing wrong with that, depending on the situation)

Interesting. I'm not sure I've met a bourbon lover who doesn't like a good stout. Are we talking about Guinness draught here, or extra stout? I liked them both in different seasons.

OK I might be thinking of the draught here.

I usually don't like porters and stouts because it reminds me of drinking a pint glass full of dark smoky mud with twigs and stuff in it (exaggerating here)

But I do like whiskey on the rocks. I'm usually a JD guy, but I recently had Bullet Rye and loved it. Kinda sweet, but really good.

I don't like porters because they're usually too sweet for me. Twigs, mud, and moldy bread are delicious, though.

JD is my last resort, I usually buy Maker's Mark when I can afford it, which is pretty sweet. The last Knob Creek I had may have changed my allegiance, though. That is a very fine whiskey.

If only I could afford one of everything.

Ahh Maker's Mark and Knob Creek. So good. One of these days I want to try Glenlivet.

Jim Beam is my personal last resort whisky, but even then I don't mind it that much.

I know that feel about the finances. Here's a picture of money if that helps:

Kinja'd!!!

OK, it probably doesn't help. But hey, at least I tried!

It's nice to know what it all looks like.

I love Glenfiddich, only been able to get a bottle of the 12yr so far and that was given to me by a great friend.

It's not very smoky. Smooth, notes of pears and peat and such.

Genesee Cream Ale, Rochester, NY's finest.

Little Kings - *shudder* . One July day about 25 years ago a beer truck had just left the warehouse here. Truck was loaded with Coors Light, Coors, Little Kings, Gennies, and Mickey's Widemouth Malt Liquor. Proceeded to stop on the grade crossing and get trapped by the gates...driver bailed out, truck got dead centered by Amtrak's Silver Star. Nobody hurt, train stopped a quarter mile later, truck demolished and shrunk-wrapped around the front of the locomotive...took a BIG wrecker to peel it off. Broken glass and beer everywhere...the place stank like hell for a solid week. Final score - Silver Star 1, Silver Bullet 0
