That's her off the Batshit Babes, then, unless we provisionally allow time travel or necrophilia.

Wait, so the summary of this whole thing was that someone crashed into a barrier, tried to run away, and was shot, while their kid was in the car? I don't even know who is more screwed up in this equation. Does this mean there will be a big public out cry about an unarmed mother being shot or that we will now have ANOTHER layer of fencing around public buildings? I just can't judge that direction the outrage wind is blowing...

Well she hit the car can pulled in front of her according to the story. Didn't see anything about running anyone over.

You've got to be insane smashing through a baracade, crashing into a police officer, and then continueing to drive irratically away from police with your child in the car right near where the president of the United States is. I'm not feeling too sorry for her.

A) Where did you see that she broke through a barricade?
B) Crashing into a police officer is how 90% of car chases end.
C) Right where the president is? So he wasn't inside one of the most fortified buildings on earth, behind the special operations teams and Marine Presidential Guards, across the vast open fields with other integrated barriers, behind the massive gate with concrete reinforcements? Huh, he must have been out for a smoke or something.

From CNN -
— Police: Secret Service encountered car whose driver tried to pass barricade near White House around 2:15 p.m. Thursday.
— Chase of vehicle began; police officer injured in crash near 1st and Constitution Avenue, police say
— Suspect's car crashed near Capitol; shots "potentially fired," police say; suspect's condition unavailable
Hey, the president doesn't need to be outside, for all anybody knows she was crazy and could have had a gun too. I understand it's sad, and maybe she was in a REALLY bad mood and harmless to everyone that wasn't in front of her car, but she WAS a danger and she was in a terrible location to be a danger. I suppose if the police could have read her mind, they would have known that she was only moody and otherwise harmless and wouldn't have shot her.
Unarmed, you say? How many tons does her car weigh? It's unfortunate she had to die, but I'm not sure you can pin it on the police.

I personally have no issues with crazy people getting shot. Why do you keep acting like I do? I was just questioning all your questionable information.

Oh, it seemed like you were making a stink about how the police reacted. I was questioning your supposition that this woman was harmless. Here's more, turns out she was already stopped by officers with their guns drawn before she decided to slam her car into reverse and into another officer:
The chase began when the woman driving a black sedan got involved in some kind of verbal altercation with officers at a security checkpoint a block from the White House, the intelligence source said.
As police cars arrived at the scene, the vehicle sped away and led police on a wild chase that included running red lights, according to the source.
When the vehicle approached the area of the Capitol building more than a mile away, several squad cars stopped it and officer "came out with their guns drawn," said Frank Schwing, a D.C. resident who witnessed what happened.
The armed officers tried to open the passenger side door, he said.
"At that point, the driver slammed into reverse, slammed into a cruiser, did a 180 (degree turn), took off, and at that point, there were a half dozen or so shots fired," Schwing told CNN, apparently all by small arms from police.

Nope, although I am getting a good laugh how this same thing happens else where and it's an "unarmed" person has been shot by police. It happens in DC and suddenly she's a terrorist and it's not a big deal she was shot.
It's either a justifiable shooting or it isn't. Stupid media.

After watching the video, I kind of have to lean on justifiable. Too bad, but she made some bad decisions that got her there.

It was pretty well justifiable as soon as she injured an officer and moved toward more. One thing I noticed from the video was the cops screwed the pooch. They should have broke the windows and grabbed her when they had her surrounded. Not sure why they just sort of tried to open the door and then gave up. Other departments would have broke the windows and either tear gassed her or jumped inside.
