Yeah but the House and Senate are in session (and getting paid!).

Everyone is going to speculate about someone "Going Federal" (to replace Postal, as I'm sure the USPS will appreciate). Gov hasn't been shut down long enough for someone to miss a mortgage payment or something, but I'm not surprised if people start getting violent once that happens.

There are pretty much constant shootings in that neighborhood; I think the latest was earlier this week.

Everyone who ever had a seat in the house or senate gets paid for life. I'm not sure why anyone ever runs for a second term.

Well if the threat of the government being shut down wasn't enough to get those fuckers in washington to do their jobs maybe the threat of bodily harm will get them to actually do their fucking jobs.

I say we all vote to throw out the whole senate and congress and replace them with people who will actually do the job.

Yep, that always amazes me. And their salary is not "discretionary spending" which is what is under review so they keep getting paid during the shutdown.

Everyone at Gawker thinks it's a Tea Party Nut (TPN) (surprise surprise), but many in the Tea Party wanted the House to take a principled stand against the ACA. Why would a TPN shoot up the place now?
