Still haven't thought of a name, but probably will after spending some quality time digging through the mounds of parts I have. And now, the pictures.
Here's how she sits now. All snuggled up in the garage awaiting my delicate caresses.
This will hinder my moving it around a bit...
Maybe I should throw the spare on?
Probably not a good idea. Can't use the jack anyways without the bumper bolted on.
Speaking of parts.... here's the four doors and glass I have for it (two original manual doors, two blue power optioned)
Some seats I have no idea what they're from, but they do bolt in, and more parts. Also, something hidden between the seats and my bike for fans of window louvers.
More parts
Aaaannnnd more parts.
Ooh, cluster.
Hmm, I wonder what's in here... lemme use my special key....
OH. MORE PARTS. IMAGINE THAT.
Also, parts inside the car!
And a ghost hand holding a part for my friend Bandit

It's been fun watching Bandit's progress, and I'm looking forward to seeing this bad boy (girl?) come to life, too.
Thanks for the pictures, and good luck!

Great! What year is it?
It looks like a Lego-Technic set, which is good... sorta.

I've been there.
It gets better.
Now get to work saving that Pontiac!

Wow! Wholly Trans AMess. Not knocking you at all just in awe of the undertaking of such a huge project! I'm overwhelmed just looking at the photos. I consider myself a boss after I change my own brakes or an alternator. Look forward to following the progress. Understand lots of variables but do you have a time line you'd roughly like to be completed?

1977, yeah I wish it came with an instruction sheet....

Nope. Not going to rush anything, going to take my time to find the right parts to put it back together the way I want.
Depending on time and money (once I get a list of what I all need) I may be looking at a year or more.

The '77 is a nice year, I really like the "beak" on the front.

Me too, same year as my first one. Hope I can keep this one from getting.... modified.

Pretty sure there's a lock cylinder in one of the boxes somewhere...
Thanks!

PSH that's nothing, I have to start my montego with a screw drive by jumping the current from the positive terminal to the starter wire.
f-ing neutral safety switch

I see you have a shortage of parts, have you been to any swap meets or sifted through craigslist to get some of the parts you need?

Not yet.
All that crap came with the car so I need to inventory it (it's what I do), just picked it all up on Tuesday so I'm waiting for the time this weekend to go through it all and see what I'll be needing on top of what I already KNOW I need. Or want.

Haha, I was mainly being sarcastic. I'm sure you'll find things you'll need but that's a crap load of parts man.

Yeah, sorry. Been having a bad day. Oddly enough, because of parts!
But not those parts. Newer, LIGHTER parts. Fuck those doors, man. Heavy.

LOL
You don't know heavy until you feel the difference between a cast iron intake manifold from the 60's vs a modern aluminum replacement. talk about a difference.

Lol, still have to have the key turned to "on".
That being said with how simple the electronics under the dash of one of these cars are I could probably jump that too...
I haven't though! I haven't!

Yeah jumping a car is quite easy, it's getting past the wheel lock that's the hard part...

Don't know, but I think it was sometime in the begining of the 70's.

Which would make my car VERY stealable. 1968.
I'm off to go steal a crapload of 30's hot rods. Hopefully they never upgraded the security...

Just sell it now because it will never be done. Unless you are someone with time and money.

Haha indeed, maybe you should do something to upgrade the security. Removable steering wheel or something like that maybe?
Also where do you find a bunch of 30's hot rods just sitting open in street? :P

This is Michigan, we have great cars everywhere!
No I'm just kidding they are all tucked away...
Good thing I'm not a thief anyhow.
I may have to look into some form of security. Maybe a hidden kill switch, those are just fun.

Three spoilers! You hoarder! ;) Observations: So many air-con ducts. You got a Trans Am dash bezel, that's awesome for you. Make sure you don't loose the jack, those things are stupidly expensive. Did the PO have a parts car, there are so many duplicates! I'm jealous of your window louvers, they're quintessential 70s muscle car. If you change seats, keep the seat tracks. Trans am seat tracks are very hard to find in decent shape.
Have fun cataloging all the parts :)

MUAHAHA! The blue spoiler even has decent lettering on it.
The dash bezel is so-so. Missing one of the trim rings around the tach, the turn signal lenses are gone, and the wiper switch label is taped on.
He had a black T/A that was very rusty and sold that as a complete car, but a few items made it into this car I think. Also, he bought the car with all the spares, from what I was told.
Sooooo when are you coming over to help??

Your pictures did teach me something. You can fit a fender inside the car, the more you know.
Not to be "that guy" buy I assume a Pontiac 400 came out of the car? Do you have a more up close picture of your motor mounts?
Takuro Spirit

Fuck yeah, BOTH fenders are in there. And another trunk. And the core support. And rear bumper. And another radiator. And the gas tank. And 3 spoilers.
Yeah it had the 400. Best shot of the mounts so far is this one:

You'd be surprised what will fit when there's almost NO interior in a car. Can't wait to dig it all out, I've never seen the car completely empty. It's always had some shit in it.
