Over the past two days it's been getting better, and on PS3 I've been able to play a small amount of online. Just keep trying and hopefully you get in. Rockstar's still working on it so chances are it'll be fixed soon. In the meantime, why not try out the Battlefield 4 beta? That's what I did yesterday and I had lots of fun.

Been getting that problem a bit today, yesterday it was just the classic Failed to Host a GTA Online Session. It'll probably be working for everyone tomorrow as I've been in a full game only once, otherwise it's just been groups of 4 or so because of the overload. What platform are you playing on? I've heard that the 360 version was doing better but I'm on PS3 and managed to get in.

I tried hopping online after getting your in game invite just now, but it's freezing me out on the loading screen. It also appears my character has been lost, and now I have to do the tutorial again.

I think the social club server's down, it keeps timing me out when I try to join a game. Hopefully your character comes back when it's up.
