I kind of wish the R8 was front engined and was called the TT.
Why? Because even thought it would on a completely different platform, everyone on the internet will call it the world's fastest Golf. That way, we would eventually see this conversation play out between an Audi fanboy and a Porsche fanboy:
Lol, fast Beetle you got there .
Sure as hell faster then your Golf.
And the VAG heritage circle will be complete.

How about the T8T?
"Hay baby, wanna go for a ride on my taint?"

I wish it was exactly the way it is mechanically, but called and priced what the current TT is.

Instead of TTRS, how about TTR8

Lol. R8 owners would be so pissed if the next TTRS looked like that.

You're not that far off.
VAG has announced that they are working on a module platform that will be used by the 911, R8, Lambo V10 model, and who knows what else.
The golf platform already spawns tons of cars.
In the future VAG will rule the world and produce a hundred cars that are all based on 3 modular platforms.

I kind of wish the R8 had a turbo 5 cylinder that made 600hp. I would want that soooo bad.
