Well, you can get a new Giulia starting at $38k, which will get you the fantastic handling and the potent 2.0L I4.
Or you could get a lightly used 2.0T ATS with a stick for under $40k.
Or you could get what I believe is the better looking of the trio, a Camaro, with a 2.0T and a stick, for like $35k.

Other than that very small critique, I agree, it’s a gorgeous car. But I also think the Challenger is a real contender look wise, and MAYBE even the Charger. It looks great in some of the higher trims but I don’t know at what price point that happens so.... Actually there are a ton of great looking cars under 40k.

Yeah I can’t think of anything that’s really better looking without a qualifier, like the new Golf Alltrack is the best looking new wagon, or The Lincoln MKC is the best looking mid size SUV. but yeah I’d have to agree that in that price range the Mustang it s the best looking new car.

Mostly stylistically. Oppo treats it like some messiah of design philosophy, when in reality it looks like all other liftbacks with some cheap chrome vents tacked on. There are lines that don’t work on this thing and design flairs that make no sense, like that stupid tail light accent on the rear panels. I’m sure it drives wonderfully and all but it looks atrocious imo. Give me a Giulia any day, and I’ll deal with the unreliability.

We bought the Kia because it looks like an Optima from far away.
I personally really like the shoulder line and the rear end but the chrome bits and the front grille are definitely overkill.
We had the choice of buying perhaps a 430i or something like that but those are too blingy for my neck of the woods; someone sees BMW or Mercedes and you can be a target of a mugger, but in a Kia?
No... Kias are for people that only carry credit cards and will brick their phones after you mug them. But then this is a rear wheel drive Kia with 365hp... its basically a BMW dressed on its gym sweats; not trying to impress anyone. Its a Q car...
I know the interior is crappier than the 4 series or even the higher trim Fusion platinum, but you can’t get away from that number... 365...
I think the numbers are the real stunners of us opponouts, its a relatively attainable sedan that does have above average looks for its price.

I don’t care about numbers so much as a car that balances great handling and good looks. 365 is impressive, but I can get the same number from a Ford Fusion (or Mondeo, if you’re not from the states) Sport for less which looks considerably better, or a pre-owned Cadillac CTS with the TT 3.6 for a similar price, which retains the RWD platform and adds 60 hp.
The Stinger has no redeeming qualities that make up its ugliness for me.

The mondeo isn’t sold with the ecoboost 2.7 and the Fusion Sport makes less power (unless you meddle in ECU remaps) The Fusion sport is sold here (It should be sold here if it’s made here to be honest) and it costs about 2-3 grand less than the stinger given the discounts we were given at Kia and the pathetically expensive quote Ford gave me for the car.
Anyways... For that difference I preferred the Kia, its a newer platform, I think its better looking (and the Fusion is quite a handsome car too) and its more powerful.
In the end I think we can all agree to disagree, I understand if you see no merit in the Stinger, from some angles it is hard to look at and I loath the front end and the grille.
And about the Cadillac, I think all Cadillacs are ugly... I’m not saying it to upset you I simply dislike them (pretty much any GM car other than the SS and perhaps the 1LE Camaro) plus they stand out like sore thumbs here. But, that 3.6 tt is a killer engine..

Eh, the facelift looks miles better in person. The lower front fascia flows into the character line on the side a lot better and it makes the whole car look a lot less blunt-nosed and smaller from the front.

It’s a great car but definitely not pretty. The c pillar is kind of awkward and the front end is an orgy of vents and chrome and bullshit. Fake vents on the hood? Ugh. Even the actually-functional brake vents are so tacked-on looking I wish they were fake. And that stupid rear light reflector thing Jalopnik had a collective orgasm over... just no. There’s no reason for that shit.

I like the Camaro, but i think Mustang is slightly better with a better greenhouse. I am glad i am not the only one who thinks the Giulia is ugly. Not feeling the design direction of the modern Alfas: the grill is too narrow and tall at the same time.

Unfortunately you can’t get it as a coupe in America. But the normal regal is 26k to just under 40k for a top of the line GS.
And the non-GS regal can be had in one of the best colors GM has made in recent years called “Carrageen Metallic”
