Every year I forget how much I hate the cold. I hate Michigan this time of year, but I love it in the Spring and fall, and Summer a little less so. It’s a vicious cycle.

how many animals, reptiles, insects have tried to kill you today?
I watched ‘Engineering connections’ on the Sidney Opera House. They put a lot of effort into some pretty excessive construction methods. Still a beautiful building.

I know it’s all in what you get used to, I just don’t understand how it’s this cold outside. It’s a balmy 15° out right now and I couldn’t imagine it getting any colder. How are the people that have temps in the minuses even coping right now?

You know it’s too damn cold when you’re outside for less than 30 seconds and it feels like your hands have hypothermia.
Or that your doors have frozen shut on their own.
Or that your car can barely start.
