Kinja'd!!!

My parents were showin some old slides from before I was born, and I’m wondering if anyone familiar with 1970s motorbikes can identify this one. Any takers?

Can you possibly get a clearer shot of whatever’s on the fuel tank? I’ve been trying to glean what I can from the bike itself (knobbly tires, possibly a 250cc motor, square headlight, handlebar style) but my searches are inconclusive.

The square headlight seems to be heavily anachronistic...

EDIT:

Here’s a possible candidate. It’s a 1972 Honda SL350 Scrambler. Hold onto this - it might be handy.

After further digging, I think I’ve narrowed the brand down to Suzuki.

This is as far as I can get before signing off tonight - hopefully someone with a keener eye for vintage motorcycles can nail this one.

it’s tiny - looks like one of those Sears Christmas catalog specials

Definitely does not appear to be a bike where the exhaust is on the left side of the rider.

Or Montgomery Ward

Doesn’t look like any bike I’m familiar with. The tank is pretty distinctive, and it looks like a 125cc engine to me. Could very well be a small, entry-level brand that you might have found and ordered through a catalog.

It could be smaller than a 125, my dad had a Kawasaki 100cc trail bike when I was a kid, and I’m pretty sure it looked larger than that photo up top.

The primary features I saw were the fuel tank, handlebars, fork, and fuel tank. It was mostly because I thought the motorcycle was a Honda of some sort.

After some googling, I think it’s a Rupp Roadster.

I’ve never heard of them, but my grandparents were pretty loyal Honda folk at the time.

Edit: I think the model is a “Boss Mini”, but the information online seems spotty at best. Maybe a “Trailmaster”.

That does look pretty close. Thanks!
