Yes, there were a few flat-brimmed caps and some vaping. But everybody was cool, and a fun time was had by all. Well, maybe all but one. Apparently after I left, a modded STI blew its engine in a fiery fashion. Which is no fun.

Quite a few more ‘Roos showed up, as well as a random collection of pickups, normal cars (Corollas, a Versa, an Accord, a Grand Cherokee and a Tiguan). None of the non-Subaru cars, apart from one Chevy truck, were associated with our group, which was fortunate since the Jeep took out a stop sign trying to drift while
leaving
the lot. But even the randos got in on the action, drifting or just doing some handbrake turns.
We also had a brief appearance by a cop, but he was just checking out an abandoned truck at the other end of the lot and left us alone.

Im betting it was the white STi wagon there that blew up, that is the exlodey generation.
I am surprised the cop didnt try chasing everyone away or at least writing some tickets. Im used to the police having a serious hard on for ruining good natured fun.
Looks like fun though, definitely something I need to try in my Subaru. But that high pressure system looming over the west is going to keep any sort of precipitation away from me for a while.

Mine’s going that way. The left rear quarter is bubbling up.
Gonna throw some money the way of the local body shop to patch my car up - fill in the A-pillar where it got dented, clean up the quarter, and get it professionally touched up. I don’t trust my ability to do any body work outside of a quick Bondo bodge job to barely pass inspection on a beat-up pickup.

My old 2001 Outback was getting really bad on both sides when we sold it this summer. No holes yet but both sides were turning orange.

One of my favorite things I have seen was a 2nd generation Legacy with a large hole in the passenger’s fender with “What makes a Subaru a Subaru” written above it in sharpie.

Ahh so not pictured above. It was a trick! Condolences to the unlucky fellow, although unsurprising if modified heavily. Hoping to keep mine from going boom, been very vigilant about oil and coolant levels. But theres only so much you can do really.
