Kinja'd!!!

I’m such a tightwad car guy that when someone Googles ‘tightwad car’ I am officialky ranked #1, #2, and #3.

Here’s hoping this is ranked #4, and naturally, it features a Ford Taurus that I just bought for a hundred bucks.

Not going to lie. I am so fucking jealous of a $100 Taurus. I want one, especially the earlier generations, really bad right now. Sadly my girlfriend says I need to fix my XJ and we need to move right now.

My mother had a Taurus of similar vintage. It proceeded to demolish its transmission, burned rich, drank oil like no other, and the sprayers were misaligned so you’d get the rear window as well as the front at a dead stop.

It was so shitty we didn’t really care what happened to it.

If you’re in Georgia I’ll sell it for $101 and a meal at Waffle House.

I think she left her old lipstick in the glovebox of this one.

A friend had a Taurus. ‘Twas a piece of shit stirring, that should have died and been sent off to rot well before it actually died and was sent off to rot.

I have another Taurus tale, but I’ve saved it for an Oppo post once I have authorship, as this is a Taurus I “owned” for a short period of time before it went to the scrapyard.

This floater is 22 years old, has 222,800 miles, and has no paint fade on the roof.

It’s worth the green!

Bought it cheap. Tranny blew. Pump leaked. Girlfriend liked it. The end.

If I was within a State or two of Georgia I would take you up on that offer in a heartbeat.

If it’s a 3.8, you’ll be installing one of those spare engines, eventually. My mom had a Taurus of that era, and it ate a head gasket at 80K. Her last Ford. It was decent enough until that point anyway.

Say what you will about Taurii - had a ‘97 SHO from new to 100K and it was dead reliable. Don’t know how it would do w/ 225K and so many more years later, but it would sure be worth a grand or two.
