Volkswagen is very slow to update their website. The 2018 Golfs are here yet the website only shows 2017s, and there are “big” differences between the 17s and 18s

EDIT: HOLD UP! THE GTIs ARE MADE IN GERMANY?
EDIT OF EDIT: nope, guess the VIN lookup messed up bigtime

Good. I never did like the whole model year/ calendar year discrepancy anyway.

Once we fix this can we move on to school years as well? And then fiscal years...

That green is a solid 9/10

For the Mazda 3 they have both listed. I learned that only the sport (base) model comes with the 2.0 engine. It has the same equipment plus a couple extra things as my 2015 touring (mid trim).

Europe always had it as a Volkswagen Exclusive (think BMW Individual) color, maybe with the 2018 Golf VW is bringing the Exclusive program to the US. They are super expensive however, that color (pretty sure is Racing Green) is a €1790,00 option

Wow, not sure if I would consider that worth it on a GTI but it’s such a lovely color.

From the German website. Cool thing is that you can get those colors in every trim, from the R to the barebones Trendline. And although not shown, even the non-exclusive color options are cool: there is a burgundy (Black Ruby), blue (Atlantic), green (Peacock) and even yellow (Turmeric), + the usual white, silver, grey, red and black

Every GTI around me is gray. No one gets them in any other color, it’s strange haha. They look good in red, but I’ve only seen that on the dealers lot.

Wow! That purple on the far right would be amazing. Honestly, with that many options, i’d definitely consider it. VW was missing out, i’m sure lots of people would’ve paid extra for these choices.

That’s Violet Touch. Apparently, it came to the US with the arrival of Mk7.5

Stunning. Wow! Can’t wait until I see one with my own eyes. I’m sure this will be a popular choice.
