I didnt drive it though. The GTs were already sold that day. But now I can happily end my 2017 knowing I got to see the car I’ve been waiting on for six years. Glad it exists.

I heard about it 6 months ago on Oppo.
Haven’t seen or heard anything about it elsewhere.
4-door sedan...I guess that’s refreshing, if stupid timing. I hope it sells well because I like Kia.
If it were a wagon I’d be pretty excited.
I’ve still never been to a Kia dealer in my life. That big inflatable wavy-arm guy scares me away.

Haha, Im extremely excited about it, but Kia salesmen terrible at selling! It’s like finding the house of your dreams but your realtor has only sold used RVs. I need to look at the car outside the gravity of dumbasses.

It definitely has a soft rear suspension. Half of it may be the expectation that owners will have some weight in the hatch or rear seats and to deter people from taking it past 7/10s and exposing the weaknesses of the ride and handling tuning for the price point.
I did find out that the 4-cyl Premium does have quad exhaust tips and not just a faux exhaust housing on the passenger side. That was a complete surprise.

I won’t disagree with that. Our Kia salesman was a consummate salesman. Decent guy, but I didn’t expect him to know much about cars.

I’ve been lucky enough to drive a handful of them for work. I’m really impressed with what Kia managed to do.
The engine is pretty amazing. Little quiet for me personally though. I appreciate all the bells and whistles the GT2 gives you as well. Steering seems a little light, and the interior does kind of feel a little cheap though.
It’s going to make a killer CPO car in a few months for sure.
Also, one of the best keys I’ve seen and touched.

I agree. It looked great in pictures and even better (imo at least) in person.
