Finally, Ican say I’m done with my brother’s golf. Yesterday, in -5* F weather, we put the new coil and plug wires on it, which was pretty easy. It fired up, drove fine and had no CELs(thank god as my brothers OBD port is busted). My brother seemed relieved to have gotten the head changed and for it to be running well all for about $1k less than the shop quoted.
For Christmas I got these new driving shoes. Pedal feel is non existent, they are super wide but warm enough to stand around changing a coil and wires in sub zero temps and they are the fanciest looking Sorels I’ve ever seen.
