the car in question: (more or less) with the DCT (yes that one)
on the highway I went to pass and I couldn’t get any more power. I dropped down a gear and same thing. It held the RPM’s constant almost like cruise control was stuck (i don’t use it). accelerating was super slow even from 1st. It was acting as if I was trying to start from a stop but was in 5th gear. I stopped off at a store and it was back to normal after that. Any ideas? It was unusually cold this morning.

Throttle body freeze up? Had that happen on a ranger once in really cold temps, but it was stuck at WOT.

Sounds like some sort of air/fuel mix issue. Possibly your MAF being the problem. It sounds like what driving with the MAF unplugged is like, but that would throw a CEL code. How cold is unusually cold?

if I changed gears the RMPs would change to match (like going from 4th to 3rd the engine would go from 1700 to 2500 or whatever the actual numbers were)

well i get a chatter occasionally and these have the extended warranty to 100k because of all the issues they had with them. I was thinking at some point i’m gunna have to hit them up for a warranty repair and that this could be the start of what sends me in for it.
