My niece’s parents. She was disappointed to have to wait three whole days to get her iPhone X in the color of her choice since all of her friends got theirs on launch day. And she’s already seen Hamilton in something like 6 different cities.
Me? Last year I upgraded to a 6S Plus (on which I’m still making payments) from a 4S, and I still have a couple of 5 year old movie tickets free from Red Cross for donating platelets. Slightly different lifestyles...

I just dont get all these parents who insist they must give their kids phones “so I can get in touch with them if I need to.”
when did that become so critically important? especially because these people inevitably have zero clue what their kids are actually doing with them, and act horrified when they find out.
especially because I’ll bet the real reason they give them phones is because “I don’t want to deal with their constant whining and tantrums if I don’t, so I’ll spend a few hundred bucks on a pacifier to shut them up.”
I am so glad I’m not raising kids in this world. there’s a somewhat large part of me who thinks smartphones + social media has been the worst thing to happen to society.
