Now I just have to get it up the driveway. Project Casino Royale was a bust so now I have this:

Kinja'd!!!

1993 Camaro Z/28 with the T56. I can rejoin the Manual Master Race now! Needs some things - coolant leak at lower rad hose, paint is horrible, roof panel took a hit from something, dash is cracked to hell and the PO installed a manual fan switch. But it’s my Bitchin’ Camaro. On knockoff Z06 wheels lol

Oh and the hatch is misaligned :\

Hell yeah! I had a 1994 Z/28. It had C5 Z06 wheels, however. Dash pad crack is common, 1993 has “the chip”, and you’ll be thankful for the manual fan switch. These things like to get hot, but they’re quick!

Not too shabby! Is that that dark green/grey color, or something custom?

“The chip”?

And I think I’mma just epoxy the dash back together and cover it with ALCANTARAAAUGHHHHHH

The ad said green. This looks just gray. But I looked up the paint code WA9926 from the RPO sheet:

PURPLE!

If that’s not what it currently is, it’s what it will be when I’m done with it

Yep, 1993 (only) used a ECU chip before moving to OBDI/II style. Just a different way to get TUNED BRUHHHH

Hatch is misaligned from the factory. My folks have a Camaro of that gen. I can fit all 4 fingers up to the 3rd knuckle in the gap to the left tail lamp. Can’t get to the 1st knuckle on the right side.

It’s a feature

This reminds me of a work friend I had who was a car guy, and constantly cycled through questionable beaters. With the approach of winter one year he was concerned his Samurai would not do well in the snow due to its lightness, so started looking for a replacement. He ended up with a 90's Z28, all it did in the snow was spin tires. Also reverse had gone out.

Could be due to different gears out back. A lot of people like throwing taller gears like 4.10s in. Best of luck with it!

Long story short, he panicked about the snow because he didn’t have very good traction on gravel once. He’s a Florida boy, doesn’t know much about driving in low traction conditions in general.

get ready for some good busted knuckles and wishing you removed the entire motor for a plug and wire change and upgrade to a 1997 optispark cap, the 93's didn’t vent and would fry themselves.

When I had my 97 Z28 had to drop exhaust, starter, the fans and still had no room to pull plugs.

add a water pump as well, best to replace both at the same time since you also have to remove the water pump to pull the opti.

My first experience driving stick was on an acreage in a samurai. We were stupid kids who figured out that we could go almost anywhere with the damn thing, and then started to do things with it we had no business doing with someone else’s (my grandfather’s, who was not well known for being forgiving when people abused his toys) vehicle. I was shocked at the kinds of stuff we went over and through with zero issues. Stupid stuff.

It was easily the best vehicle he owned while I was in contact with him. Other work friends mocked it for being tiny, shaky, loud, and generally terrifying to ride in from the perspective of a non-car person. But from what I saw that little thing do, it totally lived up to the Samurai hype.

Not only did I decide to keep the manny fanny switch but now it’s properly mounted. Previously it was just snaked into the CD holder (LOL nineties), but there was at one point a blinky LED under the 12v socket. LED cap removed and fan switch installed in its place

Now I just need some stamped metal “Hi/Off/Low” labels
