Whatever you’re on, I need to know where you got it, because that shit will clearly fuck you up and you’re sitting on a gold mine.

I mean, us North Americans get the Charger SRT and the Bruces don’t, so it’s not all bad.

Excuse me?

Kinja'd!!!

Also I just realized Mitsubishi right now is Chrysler/Dodge in the 80s. Dodge went from making the most BA enthusiast car, to selling mostly minivans, and economy cars. Mitsubishi went from selling some of the most BA enthusiast cars to selling nothing but crossovers and the Mirage.

Well, that’s probably from the last era when Chryslers were known for high build quality and precision engineering. Things started to go downhill when they rushed the ‘57s to market, and the company’s never been quite the same.

No respectable automaker would make such a car country exclusive... even GM brought a detuned holden here!

That’s a Lancia, at least here in Finland, which is okay since the previous 300c was/is one unreliable piece of beautiful shit. At least now it has an evenly unreliable badge on it. No wonder the new Lancia Thema was quite pretty.

I think the main reason the 300 SRT is only an Australian thing is because of the performance cachet the Chrysler brand has in Australia. Probably also why Australia doesn’t get the SRT Charger.

I didn’t know about chrysler in the Aussi scene!

But the thing is that there was, for a long time, an 300 srt in North America too! I don’t know why it got pulled out, I thought emissions but no, the Charger is available with the same engine... its a mystery to me..

The Charger having the same engine is probably the reason why. The man in the sweater said a few years back he wanted Dodge to be FCA’s performance brand, which is probably why the 300 SRT was cut from North America, as Chrysler was going to be the “mainstream” FCA brand. Of course, that didn’t really work out, like most things for FCA.

Yeah because FCA is really Jeep and ram, no other brand of theirs is really doing any good. If you get a Chrysler 300 you look like a baby boomer trapped in time and if you buy a charger you look like that one person that couldn’t get into the police force because of anger management issues...Because of their fleet sales and their past greatness few of their cars look like civilian cars and that’s why they don’t sell in my opinion.
