I’m not a military expert, but Gulf countries seriously arming themselves, can’t be a great thing.
Qatar AF for example, will move from a basically non existent status(it currently owns 9 old Mirage jets) to a legit regional power, with 36 F15's, 36 Rafales, 24 Apache helicopters and 24 Eurofighter Typhoons on order.
Other countries in the area are signing arms deals, too.

Why on earth do they need F-15s, Rafales, and Typhoons. Do they just like stockpiling 3 times the spare parts for 3 different jets with substantially if not completely overlapping mission profiles?
