No idea what car you have but surely there must be away to disable it, pulling a fuse?

Usually the abs fuse but then you lose abs too obviously which they might now want to do.

So you can turn off stability or traction but I can’t remember which one. To turn off all the stuff minus ABS you’ll need someone to disable it via a VAGcom cable. Just one simple line of code brings all the fun!

1. VAG

2. Plug it in.

3. COM

Yeah, VAGcom & VCDS would be key to enabling the fun. In stock form, it seems like I can only disable traction (ASR).

Tacoma sr5. When I 4WD in the snow, there’s so much front grip with the snow tires that to get a bit drifty takes huge commitment. In 2wd, the beeping and dash light flashing follows any little fun slide.

Yep. VW/Audi is all over the place. I think I remember the earlier Golf R having partially defeatable ESP/ASR.

Yeah the R (Mk6 R)will let you turn off Almost everything but it takes that one line of code to turn off ESC. I’m assuming things would be similar in the Tiguan but you’d have to search the Tiguan Forums...

I had a fellow VW group member re-code my R and do some other things, leave head-light switch in ON position but turn lights off when vehicle is turned off, disable headlight washers...
