Mostly according to this recipe , but I am also making a non-onion pie and a gluten-free one. Some other small variations based on available ingredients, etc.

I would not advise sending stuff like this by mail unless you can pay for dry ice and a styrofoam container. Also advisable: pre-freeze the pie before shipping, i mean freeze it solid and wrap it TIGHT.

An alternate would be to send it as (in auto terms) a CKD kit with the filling in a container separately. Also refrigerated, but not with spill risk if non-frozen.
