What are your favorite iconic design elements? Im not gonna say I’m biased toward the Mustang’s tri-bar taillights, but since I own a set...I quite like them

sequential turn signals, but they’re not iconic of the Mustang. they showed up first on the Thunderbird, but persisted the longest on the Mercury Cougar. My dad had a ‘73 and when I was little I was absolutely mesmerized by them.

I like cars with model-specific badges that have an icon instead of a spelled-out name. Especially the animal ones: Mustang, Thunderbird, Impala, Barracuda, etc...

Ferrari’s popularisation of the huge side scoops feeding an aft-mounted engine are my favourite. It just shouts speed even when the car is standing still.

The Range Rover cap hood. I just love that the newest generation still has this hood design. It’s so subtle, but so perfect.

Too many come to mind, but the tail lights on the new GT, and the curved tail lights on the McLaren P1 - along with the McLarens that have the McLaren logo in the headlamps - come to mind.

there are so many...... headlingts, that had glass covers.
bullet tail lights
open top designs.
a nice low water line...
side exit exhaust
high strung, large bore, short stroke v8 engines,with unusual induction, attatched to, 4 speed transmissions,
memorable colors, with memorable names, like “sassy grass green, plum crazy, lemon twist, go mango”
options that included radio delete.......
and performance packages that also had among other things, stripes.......
