I left sunny SoCal for STL five years ago. This is what greeted me this morning:

Protip: if anyone asks if you’re LDS, just tell them you’re looking at buying one to help with track days.

Murray-SLC; we lived here in 2015-2016 and then lived in San Diego-Chula Vista for the bulk of 2017 and decided to move back to Murray in October. My wife and I both work at KTVX ABC 4, when we were in San Diego, I worked at KNSD NBC 7.

I never owned a TV (or even watched one) when I lived in San Diego, but that’s an interesting move. I lived in a city bordering Murray for a number of years (my parents live there), then moved to San Diego (La Mesa) for 6, then up to the greater Seattle area (Bainbridge Island, now the east side) for the last 5. What brought you back to the SLC area?

I need to text my parents about the snow. ;-)

Combination of work issues, money troubles, and my family liked Utah more than So. Cal.

Well, it’s good that they like it there. Could never get used to it myself and really loved San Diego... Then again, I was born and raised in SoCal, so it felt like home because it’s a bit like LA was when I was growing up before it became unbearably congested. I also love the PNW, much like my grandparents (aside from the unconscionable traffic, which I’m sure they didn’t encounter because the population was a tiny fraction of what it is now). In fact, I live only 10 miles from where my grandfather was stationed in WA during WWII, which my grandparents always said was the only place outside SoCal that they’d ever want to live... Strange the way that turned out.
