Grandpa & Grandma were on a journey to deliver gifts to their grandkids, when the police decided to up and take their entire stash of weed. All 60 lbs of it. That would have been a hell of Christmas, I just hope grandma baked up some cookies for the munchies that much pot would cause.

You and your sweetheart are getting up there in years. The arthritis is getting worse, your wife’s neuropathy in her feet isn’t going away, and the eczema is spreading. You’re retired, but your SS is constantly under threat of being taken away, and the doctors (if they take Medicare) just want to throw more expensive prescriptions at the problems.
You and the missus sit down and do the math: considering you’ll have at most 20 years left on the planet, for what it would cost to continue paying out for prescriptions and medical treatments, you could find a weed dealer in Colorado, and make smoke, tinctures, creams, and edibles to last the rest of your days, which will cure some of your problems, or at least improve your quality of life for that time.
Whatever you don’t use, your kids can sell off to pay for the funeral expenses.
Literally, there is an invisible line on the ground, that when you cross it, weed either becomes a viable medicine, or an illicit substance. Its arbitrary and stupid. For fucks sake, JUST LET THEM HAVE THIS.
