My visa was approved! Here is the conundrum. I have a project over the New Year in February. My bosses are insisting I stay the week instead of fly home and back. Yes, No, Maybe? I will be in Pudong, Shanghai.

You should stay for the New Year, it’s really amazing. But don’t try to go anywhere, the travel is nuts.
I was in Taiwan for a New Year, and everyone lit off fireworks everywhere, even though the whole island is elbow to elbow.
Shanghai should be even better.

You do NOT want to drive there, it’s pure chaos. You have to spend several years learning the intricacies of their unspoken rules of the road. There’s people, cars, buses, mopeds, bicycles all zig zagging different directions. Lights and lane markers are mere suggestions. They also love to use their horns, not in anger...it’s like some type of morse code.
