I have been driving the Cressida today. It was 28 degrees this morning when I left the house, too cold for Sunchaser and I am sick of that fucking Armada.
I went to the office to help finish up a motion that needed to be filed, and to pay some bills. My wife went to get her nails done and have lunch with a friend. Later, we are working on her Cressida.
We are going to get after the rust and dead paint on these wiper arms to prepare them to be painted.
I also have replacement lenses for these lights.
And I have this housing. I have the set, but we only need to use one side.
I told her I was going to do these things, and she looked at me in that way she has when I am being stupid. “I am going to help,” she said. And that was that.
Do you see why I love this woman? I told her out son wants to drive the Cressida in the Touge next year, and she said he can be her navigator, or learn to drive a manual so he can drive the Sunchaser. She loves dogs too.

The neighborhood cat keeps me company, though he’s more interested in breaking into my place and being a permanent resident than helping me wrench.
I also live in a city where the women are, for the most part, married, about to be married, or aren’t but decided to have multiple kids anyway. Good luck convincing someone who has options to pack up and move to the Mojave desert. At least my job’s nice.
