And I’m looking at ~50 year old Cougars. Can’t tell if dull paint or good primer. Front seat covers look like they were done with more enthusiasm than skill. 351W means it’s definitely not the original engine, and GT badge looks like it was added by an owner. Still, if it’s real and it’s clean underneath, it’s definitely NP:

That looks really straight. Hood line, fender extensions, etc. The only trim it appears to be missing is the Mercury script on the trunk, and take off those goofy GT badges. Otherwise, nice find.

I like those because there are so many Mustangs in CA and you don’t see those nearly as much.

II had a yellow 73 Mustang convertible in the 90s. I like the look of the cougar far more than most Mustangs from that era. The only exceptions, I guess, would be the 68 and 70 fastbacks, and the 67-68 convertibles.
