On this morning’s commute I saw an Eagle Vision ESi. In decent condition and driven by a man who looked as though he bought it new. It was that titanium-greyge Metallic with wheels that had black accents on them. No sr20 because driving.

When I was driving back down to Savannah from Roswell after Irma, I saw a couple extremely clean 90s cars that looked like they were being driven by their original owner.

I guess if you take care of something and it lives in a garage, it stays pretty clean.

Do you think he should get a leather interior for his Eagle?

Wow...I consider it rare to see an Intrepid still on the road, but this is an Everyday Unicorn. Amazing that someone chose to keep it up, despite all the newer/better cars that have come along.

I still remember these cars winning most of the mid-90s comparison tests. One of the first sedans I ever semi-wanted as a teen.

For its day, it was great, but they seem to have all died in the early 2000s with transmission failures.

I remember back in the day, my mom looked at one of these - V6, white on grey, loaded with roof and leather. This was right around the time Eagle became an orphan. She was somewhat taken by it, but her indy mechanic told her to keep away. She ended up in a Taurus that lost a head gasket before 100K. From then on, Toyotas.

My neigbor has a 1G Intrepid he bought new. Aside from a paint job, it needs nothing.

Wow! That’s gotta be the last one of those around. I’ve seen exactly one 1st gen Intrepid in the last like eight years. I can’t remember the last time I saw a Vision.

I still say a lot of the failures of ‘90s Ultradrives was people putting Dexron ATF in them.

I remember when these came out, reading a Motor Trend, or R&T article, forget which, that coined these as the Last Hope cars for Chrysler.

About a decade earlier, the “last hope for Chrysler,” was the CaraVoyager...
