A friend in high school had a 6MT E64 M6, that was incredible. It was the car I learned how to drive stick on. I would love to drive and M5 of that generation with a 6MT. They really are a lot like out cars, except you can’t turn the traction control fully off.

So for $10.5K he bought a rolling chassis and suspension? He would do well to engage BMW and R&T immediately for some sponsorship funds (discounts).

Transmission - $2-4K

Realistically, that might be what he’s bought, but that sentence is saying he’s planning on replacing the mounts for the engine, trans and diff, not replacing the engine, transmission and then diff mounts.
